Made with a batter of bread crumbs and rava perked up with the usual flavour-givers like green chillies and ginger, the Gujarati bread dhokla tastes so good and so much like the authentic dhokla that nobody can guess that it is made of bread unless you tell them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A traditional tempering adds to the authenticity of the bread dhokla making it very appealing. Make sure you serve instant bread dhokla immediately with green chutney to enjoy the nice, soft texture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udd37 Preparation Time: 10 mins\u00a0 \ud83d\udd37 Cooking Time: 15 mins \u00a0 \ud83d\udd37 Total Time: 25 mins\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udd37 Ingredients<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 3\/4 cup fresh bread crumbs<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 1\/2 cup Mayur Sooji\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 1\/2 cup curd (dahi)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 1 tsp ginger-green chilli paste<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 1\/2 tsp chilli powder<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 1 1\/2 tbsp Mayur oil<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 salt to taste<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 1 tsp fruit salt<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai \/ sarson)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 1 tsp sesame seeds (til)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 1\/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udd37 For Serving With Bread Dhokla<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 green chutney<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udd37 Method<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Combine bread crumbs, semolina, curd, ginger-green chilli paste, chilli powder, \u00bd tbsp oil, salt and \u00bd cup of water in a deep bowl and mix well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Cover it with a lid and keep aside for 15 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Just before steaming, add the fruit salt and add 2 tsp of water over it and mix gently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Pour batter in a greased thali and spread it to make an even layer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Steam the dhoklas for 12 minutes or till the dhoklas are cooked. Cool slightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. Heat the remaining 1 tbsp of oil in a small non-stick pan, add the mustard seeds, sesame seeds and asafoetida and saut\u00e9 on a medium flame for 30 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. Pour this tempering over the prepared dhokla and cut into square pieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8.
